Default Attempt to send message to group gives error

Please Login to Remove!

One our users has a Tmobile 8703e Blackberry. He is in Africa and reporting that when he tries to send an email to a group syncronized from his personal contacts in Outlook that he gets an error message that there is no email address. I cannot look at his device as I am not in Africa. Does anyone have any input?

Can he look at his group and verify that the email addresses are there?

I'm assuming they're not. And I'm wondering why that wouldn't sync?

ok, nevermind, "Groups" on your Blackberry in your Addressbook are different than in Outlook. It sounds like he is on BES, you didn't say, and I don't know BES. I hope someone else might assist you.

As far as I know, groups need to be created on the BB.

I have groups on my Outlook and they are shown on the contacts list in the BB. I have no issues with selecting a group and sending emails to all. I am also on a BES. I would be sure the groups are on the outlook first. When I update or make a new one it is automatically transfered to the BB has a single contact. Maybe my groups creation is different than his.
I did have some issues one time when one of the email addresses was wrong.

I don't know if this will help you in diagnosing his problem or not...but ever since I got my 8703e (VZW - BES) my groups in Outlook on my PC have not functioned properly. Whenever I try to use my pc to send to a group I have created, Outlook gives me an error message. My IT department is trying to figure it out, but they are stumped.

I just though you might want to try looking at it from the Outlook side and not the BB side.
