I have a couple of questions that I was just wondering about.

First

1. How do you enter Numbers on the 8703e b/c when I call people it just has all the numbers with no space or dash and looks annoying. Not bad, but would like to change it possible.

2. when I have long text messages or emails and after your done just reread it real quick and you make a mistake how do you just go to the word and not have to delete all the way back to that word.

thanks Crosby87

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Crosby87, welcome to the forums.
First, if you're calling someone NOT in your contact/address book, you enter their number in the phone dialer just as you descibed; however if entering a new contact in the address book, place the dashes between the area code, prefix, etc., it will look neater. If you enter the info in Outlook first, with dashes, Outlook will format (at least mine does) the number properly, i.e., 888-888-8888 becomes (888) 888-8888, and that will transfer back to your BB, upon syncing with Desktop Manager.

To scroll through ANY text on the BB, press the ALT key and scroll side to side (right-left).

Good luck, enjoy.

I have the same question on issue #1 and also have an 8703e.

So JSanders, are you sayig the blackberry can't be set to add the hyphens where they should be in a phone number? I don't use an Outlook synch and would rather not have to "hyphenize" all my numbers manually?

If you want the parentheses and hyphens you have to manually add them. You don't even have to hit alt since it's a phone number field. It's the price for being picky... ;)

Thanks Takeshi.

I guess it is one of those things that was not thought of because there was not originally phone funtionality with BlackBerry's? So where do I go to suggest changes.
