Hello, I have an 8700 on Cingular, and I recently -- as in yesterday -- wiped the old IT policy off my device and installed the newest OS. Every time I connect my device to my PC and open Desktop Manager, a window pops up saying "In order for message redirection to function properly a new encryption key will have to be generated" Then, I have to move the mouse all over to generate the new encryption key. After I do that, another window pops up saying "The computer does not know its message account address. Either the messaging system is not configured properly or this messaging system is not supported" What should I do now? The Email button on the Desktop Manager software is new to me, as my older version didn't have that

...and while on the subject, I can't open picture attachments in my Gmail messages on my Blackberry. Any ideas? I click on the thumbwheel but I never get a "open attachment" option, nor do I see a paper clip by the messages with attachments

So, if you wiped the IT policy off the device, and your service is BES, did as well wipe the BES email setup off the BB? Have you setup a new one? That could be reason you are getting the error.

I set up my email accounts again. I use Gmail, and at first I was unable to send emails, but after I resent my service books from BIS I was able to send emails, but as for the ones I received, I am still unable to view attachments. I guess to make a long story short, everything is as it was on my old 8700 (except now I have a couple cooler things with the new OS on the BB), except I can't see attachments in emails, and I have that weird problem when I connect to a PC
