Default storing files and bluetooth headset

Please Login to Remove!

1. If I receive a file in my email -- word or excel document is there a way to save it to my BB 8800 ? Sorry I am new to smart phones, but it is not obvious to me

2. Does anyone have a recommendation for the best bluetooth headset with this phone?

David

Can't save email attachments to the card yet, at least not with the Pearl that is. You can copy files to the card with Windows though them email them to yourself and open view the attachment.

There are a lot of BT headsets that work well with the Pearl. Visit the subforum for Bluetooth for a ton of info.

Default File Storage on 8800

Unless I am missing something, it would appear that the BlackBerry still does not allow saving/storing of files, then attaching those files to new emails.

As great and solid as the BlackBerry is, I am very surprised that it won't save and attach files to emails... It seems so VERY basic... And, something that all Windows-cr@p devices do...

Is there a 3rd party application that will allow saving a file (XLS, PDF, DOC, etc.) from an email to the microSD card? Perhaps allow creating a folder architecture on the BlackBerry in to which to save files, then attach files to new emails?

"Best" is very subjective -- especially when considering fit. I've been using the Plantronics Voyager 510 with mine and I've been very happy with it. YMMV.

We could give this version to those interested so that they could evaluate it

I tried to install a beta version a month or so ago on my 8100 and it hourglassed. That's a lot of work to recover from. But, I would try again if you have an improved version or instructions that would keep this from happening again.

I am very interested in beta testing your software. There are many times I need to have a file emailed to me, then pass it on to someone else. However, I don't want to forward the entire email for various reasons.

How do I try it?
