If it puts out a signal it can be tracked. It is just a question of how much time and money you company wants to spend to do it.
Now Sprint offers a very simple system for tracking certain supported phones to business customers who pay an aditional fee. Sprint Business - Precision Locator(SM)
The 8703e is not listed as a supported device. Though the 7250 is. It may just be a case of Sprint failing to update their webpage in a timely manner.
There is a balance that needs to be found here. There are valid reasons why your boss wants to be able to track employees. You have an equally valid desire to be free of constant monitoring. If their demand to monitor your location is too much to bear you may want to start looking for a new job.
EDIT: also, why is this in the 8300 forum?
