Default unlocking a 7230 by installlin new software...

Please Login to Remove!

hey guys,

My 7230 has died on me, i get the 'no os' symbol on the screen when i try and turn it on.. any ideas?

Anyway i'm broke but need a new one (or second hand more to the point...). I have the latest version of the OS, and was going to buy one second hand on ebay and then change the software to the one for my provider... but will this unlock the device as well? or wud that be a seperate issue? if thats the case, how can i unlock the device?

ALL Help appreciated...

I think the unlock process is done by IMEI (or ESN) and PIN so it is specific to the device. Just loading software won't do it.

Be careful buying from ebay as well. You generally get what you pay for there.

You can try reloading with javaloader. I know instructions are somewhere on these forums...

You need the subsidy unlock code for your device to unlock.
