I sync my 8800 with my work calendar from my work computer. Wanted to know if I can add a second calendar to sync with my home computer for my part-time business. Is this possible? Any third party programs to help with this? Any work-arounds???

AFAIK for two calendar sync, both calendars need to be on the same PC and the second calendar is one-way.

Plus you're limited to USB syncing with two calendars.

You can sync your phone's calendar with two different computers (or more), but I don't think it's possible to have two separate calendars on a single Blackberry.

If I can sync between 2 computers, I dont mind using the same calendar for both computers. I can just label my appointments different. I hope this works.

If that's the case then you're good to go. If you're on BES don't choose the BES install option for Desktop Manager on your non-BES PC.

I want to do the same thing, but I'm on BES at work. If I don't choose the BES option when I install Desktop Manager at home (which is not BES), I'll be able to sync wirelessly with work via BES and manually at home (without BES) and my calendar at home, at work, and on the BB will all be the same, correct? Is it that simple or do I have to turn off BES everytime I want to sync at home?

IIRC you'll have to switch off wireless sync, sync at home, and then switch on wireless sync again. It's going to be a PITA because you need to do this for calendar, address book, memo pad and tasks each time.

Instead of switching wireless sync on and off, just go to the options of your calendar on the BB and turn of wireless synchronization. You'll need desktop manager to sync with your corporate account though.

Thanks for your help. It may be a PITA to turn off wireless everytime I sync at home, but that's what I'm going to have to do since I'm out of the office a lot and my secretary needs to be able to update my calendar in real-time (and vice-versa). I only sync at home one a week or so anyway, so it's not *that* big of a deal for me. I just don't understand why this is necessary. This can't be that uncommon.

A lot of companies try to refrain users sync'ing their devices on their personal machines for obvious reasons.

BES IT policy can lock this down also.

Wireless sync is a major selling point for most BES users... YMMV but I can't see bothering with the USB cable if you (or your company) are paying for BES.

I'd be curious what those obvious reasons would be. I work in a highly information-sensitive industry, and I can't think of any legitimate security concern that would be implicated by permitting me to sync my calendar/contacts/tasks on my home machine.

I'd be shocked if our IT Policy caused a problem on this front, but I'll let you know.
