Default A question about OS

Please Login to Remove!

I made a post yesterday in the Themes forum that went unanswered and I am now thinking that I am confusing terms so I was looking for some clarification.

Is there a difference between the OS version I am running and the Zen Theme I have on my 8700c? While I know that one is the backbone of the functionality and the other is the interface I am not sure if the Theme is attached to the OS and if not can you add on once the most current OS is installed.

If there is no difference and I download the newest Cingular OS which I believe is v.4.1.0.529 will I still keep the Zen theme that is currently installed on my BB? If not does anyone know if that v.4.1.0.529 has the Zen theme? And finally if that version does not what would be the most current and stable OS version that includes the Zen Theme and is compatible with my Cingular service. I currently run OS v.4.1.0.309.

I apologize in advance if I am commingling terms. Thanks for any insight anyone might provide.

Themes *can* be dependent on which OS you have installed BUT only because providers choose which themes to include in their OS version release (if that makes sense)

You can however, always use one of jibi's modified alx files to unlock all the themes available no matter what OS you have...

You can use any OS for the same model. I've used Cingular, TMO, Bharti, and Vodafone's on my Cingular BB's.
