Yes, you can upload the ringtone to a website (like a yahoo briefcase) and then poiint your BB browser to the url and dowload, save. You cannot email and save ringtones.

a place where you can upload your files to the internet.

so then once it is uploaded, go to your internet browser in your BB and then click on the file you want in your Briefcase.

It has been awhile since i played around with personal ringtones... but I think you may have to keep the individual mp3 file under 120k in order to play on the BB.

Find a place to host your mp3's, browse to them on your bb, click on the mp3, click on the file and select "get link". When the song is playing via audio player navigate over to the menu, click on it and select "save". Check the "set as ringtone" box and then click on save. Your new ringtone should be set.

I have heard of free hosting sites, but i do not know of any. Maybe someone else on this forum can help you out with that part.

I've found the limit to be about 260KB for my ringtones but others have been able to load larger ones. I have no clue what the limiting factor is as far as file size is concerned.

Use this site to upload your songs but it has to be cut to a smaller size so you can't do the entire song. Once you do that, point to the file and this site will give you the URL that you can send to your phone via email or manually browse to and then download to your phone.

VirtualViews . com has a thing called Berry Tunes, that will automatically downsize (and take down the quality) in order to fit 16 songs on there. It costs money but there is a trial..

why would you want songs on there anyway?
