Default Removing the phone and e-mail from 8700v

Please Login to Remove!

I have searched but can't find this anywhere apologise if this is posted elsewhere, I a spare 8700v handset and want to use it for text messaging only is there anyway I can remove the phone and e-mail from it so when someone calls the hand set wont ring or when I go in to send a text message I wont see compose an e-mail

Not AFAIK. You can remove the email service books but I'm not sure if that will remove compose email from the menus. SMS is really a feature of GSM (the phone portion of the device, essentially) so you're really stuck with the phone if you want "just text messaging".
