Lately, it seems like I have been having to soft reset/yank battery at least once or twice per day on my unlocked 8700c (had it for almost 1 year).

The most recent software changes I made were the DST patch and "upgrading" to 4.10.377 (not worth it but that's another story).

How often do most people have to pull the battery to reset the 8700? Any changes in frequency since DST patch? I honestly can't remember if I started having the problem before or after the DST patch, but I know I haven't done anything software-wise since DST and the newest Cingular update.

I almost never reset my 8700g. I also have the DST patch and 4.1.0.377. What issue is causing you to reset?

lately at night, i turn my 8703 off and it never shuts off until i pull the battery and reset it, then turn it off... argh...

I'm having to reset because BB will suddenly stop receiving emails. For example, I leave BB on the dining room table overnight, set to phone only. When I get up in the morning, there are no emails (which I know is not possible). When I reboot..... poof 6-8 emails show up.

Are you on a BES? I know I've had some issues lately. Our BES says the messages are forwarded but it takes forever for them to reach the BB. If I pull the battery, they all will show up (or if I choose the Reconcile now). Weird. I wonder if it is the DST patch

Nope. I'm on BIS with redirector, but I have had this setup since September last year and only recently had the problem.

I forgot that I did update the Berry411 program OTA to the Beyond411 version. But other than that, the DST and OS upgrade that I mentioned, no other changes to format. And I usually leave the alert on phone only overnight and have never had any problems; the emails are just sitting there waiting for me when I pick up the phone in the morning!

This happens to me as well, but I just turn the wireless off and then back on and it takes care of it. I haven't had to do a battery pull to get it going again.

I've never had to pull the battery on my 8703e in the 6 months that I've had it. In fact, I don't think I've turned it off more than 3 or 4 times.

I have an 8703e that is having the same problem. We connect to a BES.

Everynight it stops communicating the emails - seems as though the wireless has shut down - have to pull the battery.

I don't have the problem with any of our 7250's.

I have one user with an 8703e that had this problem a couple of times. His data would just stop working and he'd have to pull the battery.

Have 5-6 other 8703e, a couple of 8700c, and a couple 8700g with no such issues.

I've only pulled the battery after installing BBM but that was at least a year ago...

Tmobile tech told me to do it like once every two days.
