Default Alphanumeric Paging/Forwarding

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8703e. Unfortunately, for another job, I have an old one-way alphanumeric pager. I would like to have the pages from the old pager forwarded to the BlackBerry. Is this possible?

Any replies. I have a Motorola pager I want to get rid of and use my 8703e. Is there a way to send pages to a Blackberry?!?

Who do you have your paging contract with?

Some paging services can provide you with a "carbon copy" of any message sent to your pager.

I have a client asking me for the exact same thing. He has Nextel for his blackberry 7100i. He is using Verizon for his pager.

I know this thread is the 8700 but I didnt want to start a new thread if this is the same topic.

The answer is yes for Verizon Wireless. VZW has a feature called Office Message Alert (OMA) -- there is no subscription or per message fee for the service other than normal text message fees, but you must request that they enable it for your account. The way that it works is one dials 888.284.3811 (OMA Access Number) followed by 10-digit VZW cell phone number to be paged followed by 10-digit callback number.
