Default Rogers Bb 8800

Please Login to Remove!

It Seems like Rogers Finally releaing the Long awaited BB 8800. I got a flyer deliverd from Rogers today (with the regular local paper) and they are having a promotion on Blackberry. Buy one pearl or BB 8800 and get 4 BB 7250 at no charge. Also they have price listed for BB 8800, 499.00 with three years contract and after th rebate. But when I tried to order one online, it says coming soon. Is that mean, they are making it available at the Rogers store first? I will check it out at the local dealer tomorrow. Meantime, if anyone finds out, please let us know. I cant wait to get on .

Could you clarify the flyer. Was it a pearl or BB 8800? And was it offered at the store level or online. Or are you creating hysteria. Your post is jummbled.

This was an official Rgers flyer ( Rd and white) with all other promotions and deals. This specific one ad reads, buy any Blackberry (BB 8800 or Pearl) and get 4 BB 7250 at no cost. If it was a flyer from a local dealer, i wouldnt even bother posting a thread. THis was a Rogers corporate flyer. I am not sure its available at the local stores, but the online shows still " Coming soon"

Thanks mike. I called Rogers online and of course their first response was "which 8800". I have come to the conclusion with a small population base of only 32 million, Canada will get them when the rest are finishing having the last course of their meal.

There's an 8800 billboard from Rogers here in Halifax. I talked to one of their call centre folks yesterday and he was probing me for information on why it had been delayed. Apparently they don't really know what's going on either.

The official launch date is March 27th according to a VERY reputable source on HoFo. Yes - I got the same Rogers flyer also. Apparently they will not have a ton of them for the first 2 weeks so get on a wait list if at all possible!

Units are expected in stores today. Yah!!

That being said the demand for these things is nuts. I called one store and they have 150 names on the waiting list for the 8800!! I'm on a wait list so we'll see.

Have they raised the monthly data rate? No .5 mb data is 35 dollars then 10 dollar rebate. before it was straight 25 dollars. Why is the gimick?
Also, still you cant order. It says coming soon

Got mine last night after I ordered my 8800 through c/s on Tuesday.

So day 1 with the 8800 and so far 2 thumbs up!

Last night I got the phone setup on our BES and no issues there - all contact, calendars, emails etc synced.

I also installed the TelevNav software and used it for the drive into the office. It worked very well. Picked up the satellites quickly and had no problem re-routing me when I took a different route than the one it chose for me.

In regards to the phone capabilities it seems to work very well. Call quality is excellent.

I've also created some videos for it and they work well. It will be nice when RIM creates a "full screen" video player.

So far so good...

customer service will take 3 business days approx. In the dealer channels it might come later today or tommorow we might be getting them. Worse case scenerio you will be waiting till monday either way. I suggest getting on whatever lists you can, this way if you need to DOA your device you can easily come into the dealership. Pricing will be the same either method you choose

Did anyone get their snowday 8800 yet? I emailed the contact from the coupon last week and once again this week and no response. They must be shipping them by now.
