My trackball (thinnk that is what its called lol) is fine because my bb8800 is still a couple days old. But I would think that after a while it will start to get warn out. What could be some ways ti make it work like new again? Maybe put a verry small dab of some type of oil just to oil it up a lil?

Thnks

Only put oil on it if you don't want it to work at all! NO oil! With the phone turned off just use a little alcohol to clean it up. That will clean up the rollers inside and usually smooth it up after it gets grimey inside.

On my Pearl which I used for about 3 months, periodically the trackball would skip but it always recovered.

I used the remedy mentioned above a few times.

I'd also turn the phone over and roll the ball on something dry.

I find if I use the phone with slightly wet fingers that the ball has a fit.
