Question Is the 8800 Blue or Black?

Please Login to Remove!

I have seen people say blue and people say black! All of the press pictures and the cingular box shows it as black. Which is it?

It's a really deep, dark BLUE... (Cingy/ATT)

Although, I have heard of some black ones out there...

There are different colors for different carriers. They even have new battery doors for each:

BlackBerry Accessories Store - BlackBerry 8800

Not sure I follow...wouldn't "order one" be the obvious answer?

I have the Dark Blue one. The blue version has a stronger processor and secret stealth technology. They were oringinally ordered for the CIA and NSA but because of budget restraints, they had to go with the basic black version.lol, just startin mess!

The front of my 8800 is black except for the bottom face that says Cingular, it might be the darkest blue but looks black. The back of my 8800 is dark, dark blue. You can only tell it is dark blue by holding it just right in the light.

The really dark blue units like the Cingular 8800 and the 8700r can look black but they're definitely blue. I think that adds to the confusion. I've noticed that they look more blue when an IS is applied.

I believe the 8800 from Tmobile UK is also Black. Anyone know where to get a black one that's unbranded and unlocked?

8700r -- not the Rogers 8800. In other words, what I typed and not what you thought I meant... ;)

Only from RIM but they're expensive and IIRC you need to order a certain minimum quantity. Haven't done this myself so take it with a grain of salt as it's based on hearsay...
