I can recomende you someone how not buy from him and he is apower saler if you intrest to know please let me know!

It isn't a great idea IMHO to buy a cell phone on ebay, especially a BB. There are many who have done fine, and probably just as many who have had problems.

The issues have been hashed over and rehashed over on here many times. The two biggest issues being IT policies left on the device and BIS not being closed so the buyer can't seyt up email.

And ever so often you see someone getting a great deal only to find out it was a lost or stolen device.

What do you want us to do with this issue? We agreed to give you a replacement.

I believe Ruechel asked for RELIABLE eBay sellers, not someone you are having a problem with. Please stay on topic.

ruechel 04-01-2007 08:42 AM

i hear you. ebay really has become a haven for scammers. it's sad. i guess i have to go the normal route.

ohad_129 04-01-2007 12:05 PM

yes you wright its became ahaven for a shark like this guy and i think njblackberry is wrong becouse maybe this is my problem now but it can be other people problem and the purpuse of this forum its to tell other people not to get wrong like i did and you can read all over that forum people buy from ebay bb and have many problems!!!!! they get devices that called by the sellers as unlocked and when they get the devices the facts are diffrent

NJBlackBerry 04-01-2007 12:07 PM

Fine; post it in Rants and Raves about your problem with buying on eBay.

STAY ON TOPIC.

ruechel 04-01-2007 01:55 PM

is there ANYONE who would like to contribute facts pertaining to the original question???

ohad, sorry to hear about your troubles but as the moderator mentioned, you're not contributing anything informative to this topic. we know that there is a problem: THAT IS WHY I ASKED THE QUESTION.

I just bought one from ccg71, the phone is in great shape, and works great. They are refurbs though, if you are worried about that.

ezrunner 04-02-2007 09:53 AM

I have been very fortunate and never had an issue buying on ebay!!! all purchases have been blackberries!!

ohad_129 04-02-2007 10:14 AM

what you mean rents and raves where?

NJBlackBerry 04-02-2007 10:39 AM

There is a forum called RANTS AND RAVES. WHere people can go ahead and praise or complain about a product, vendor, seller or whatever.

Not quite what you're looking for, but I've got two brand new (still sealed in box) VZW branded 8703e's that I'd be willing to sell. PM me if interested

17 posts and not one person actually has a suggestion for a reliable eBay seller. I would just go by feedback. Or, better yet, try and find what you're looking for in our BST forum.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

No recommendations. Ebay is a gamble and I like to gamble... If you have the time and money... Which I have neither

jwh463 04-04-2007 06:35 PM

I have bought every BB (2 7290s, 1 8700) I ever had on eBay. Even sell my used equipment on there as well.

I tend to watch for individuals selling one they just got or someone upgrading. Never had a problem, did get one that was never wiped and guy left all his info on BB. I have bought dozens of phones from powers sellers and never had a problem.

Just read the auction from top to bottom, read the feedback. If they have the same type of bad feedback stay away.....where there is smoke there is fire.
