Default Double mesage received

Please Login to Remove!

I set up an exisiting email account to forward emails to my BB 8800.
Why do I get the email to my BB email account and then the same to my BB message account.

Sorry, should have searched more before posting.
I found this post in the threads.

all emails regardless of BES or BIS go to the messages icon. If your carrier is using BIS 2.x you will have separate icons for eash BIS email address, and those messages will also show in the messages icon.

But I do have another question.

I set up a Blackberry email address then deleted it by mistake. Now I can't use that name again, obviously it saysd name already in use. Any way to get it back?

I just went through this and the fix is easy. All you need to do is login to your Web Client where you added the email address and create a filter for THAT email address. The filter will be when the "From" address is the email address that you are sending from (the one that you added), DO NOT send to handheld.

For example, if you added [email address] I am guessing that you are getting messages from that email address to that email address every time you send an email.

Just put that whole email address in the filter and you should be good to go.

You'd have to ask your carrier to clear it out. However, I'm betting it's telling you that your account name is already in use. Your account name and your *.blackberry.net address can be the same but they are not necessarily so. I got the same message that you mentioned but I was able to set up the previous email address I had. I just had to pick a differennt BIS account logon ID.
