Rogers 8800 OS download Anyone know where I can get the original Rogers OS download file? Hopefully the one RIM had to manually re-patch causing the big release date delay. It's not on the Rogers site yet: (n) https://www.blackberry.com/SoftwareD...ient=biERdLcdT Right now I'm running the O2 UK OS (BlackBerry from O2 - Help and support) and the Blackberry maps doesn't even appear....everything else is working though. I used JL_Cmder and it wiped my 8800 to the bone. |
It seems current models shipped from Rogers have OS version: 4.2.1.90 (platform 2.3.0.72) versus the latest download from O2 UK: 4.2.1.73 (platform 2.3.0.54) Where else can I get 4.2.1.90? |
You can't yet. Some carrier will have to release it. Took a week or two before the Cingular version surfaced after launch. |
??? My Rogers 8800 that I got last week has 4.2.1.68 (Platform 2.3.0.54). |
Check Again - just got posted on the blackberry site! |
On second thought, what am I going to gain vs. the Cingular firmware? Cingular applications release is 4.2.1.72 vs. 4.2.1.68 on Rogers. Software Platform is identical. |
You won't gain anything, I'm sure. Some Rogers products are being shipped with 4.2.1.90, I believe...I'm sure that will be posted, soon, too. Though, there's negligible differences between that an previous versions, too. |
Interesting...the 8800 OS is no longer listed on the https://www.blackberry.com/SoftwareD...ient=biERdLcdT site. I hope they post the latest version this time. |
Still no Rogers 8800 .90 OS on either the Rogers or Blackberry.com website |
its on its way... |
mine came with 4.2.1.90. mine was also free from the snow day vip event. not sure if that makes a difference. |
mine came with .90 as well. I believe Rogers is in the process of making that handheld code available for download........it's crawling through the red tape. |
yeah, I got .90 as well. |
