My thanks for all the valuable information in this forum. I've had my 8800 for about a month and have been mostly playing with it on the evenings until I become dependent and wean myself off my Sprint phone. So I've enjoyed installing and experimenting with various applications and getting used to the DTM and the OS. My first issue (which is not why I write) was the fact that I could not get rid of the telenav. After the uninstall of the telenav app, it really seem to embed and leave behind the icon which was a link to their site. I could not find in the device nor using DTM why this was still hanging around. So, this is when I decided to perform a "wipe handheld" and all was well again to start fresh.
Now, at some point during the past week, I noticed that I no longer had internet connectivity according the status on my phone and the fact that I was only getting "edge" connectivity. Cingular support did the normal ritual of battery-out, battery-in, sim-in, sim-out, etc...as well as bumping the services on their end, but no resolve. They recommended I seek a new SIM from a local store, which I did, and still no change, They recommended I re-install, so using DTM I erased all apps and reloaded. This has now resulted in the "Browser" being greyed out on the list of applications via the DTM, and the browser is no longer installed on the device.
So I still have no internet connectivity, no browser installed. I am open to any suggestions.
