Forgive me if I'm asking stoopid question but here goes.

I only use my current G-mail account and occasionally a similar sounding spare one,
I recieve and send using BB via these addresses,
If I wanted to create a specific address
bearing no relation to my surname in any way, corresponding to my BB

how would I do this
New to curve....and curiously dissapointed

I may not understand your question... but you could go to gmail (or any other service you desire) and create another account and name it whatever you want and set it up to your BB.

I am not following the question either but will take this opportunity to plug what I call "form-filling-out" email addresses.

I have learned that as soon as you post to a blog or send someone who just adores forwards an email, that address becomes a spam magnet. While Gmail is excellent for filtering this spam out, I still loathe filtered spam personally.

My solution has been to have multiple email accounts and I actually have the same address with Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail and .mac. In addition to these I have my "form-filling-out" email address which I will give or send to anyone and use for all that nonsense that requires an email address these days. I forward this "trash" email through other "legitimate" email accounts to filter out the spam that eventually comes to it while still getting email from everyone.

Basically, my close friends get the "end of the line" email address while forms, strangers and sites get the "trash" email address.

This has worked well for me and I can actually see it working as my "trash" email address gets 10 to 20 spam emails per day but as you move up the line the spam per day goes to zero on my main account.

I know this is a bit overkill but getting spam on my BB is absolutely unacceptable to me.
