Question OutOfMemoryError on 7290

Please Login to Remove!

Hi and greetings to you all.

I am new in developing MIDP Applications for BlackBerry and of course i have some problems
I have already installed the cod file on the device (7290) but can't start it. I allway get the message:

Error starting HelloWorld:
Error loading module
'HelloWorld'
OutOfMemoryError.

I tried it with Emulators and it runs on 8100,8700,and 8800. I searched for this Error but only find some problems about Java. Maybe a memory leak. But i don't know how to solve this problem. I am lost. Please Help.

Thanks in advance

Default Outofmemory

You might want to check the version of your JDE. I ran into the same problem and I was using JDE 4.2.1 and when I tried deploying to 4.1.x on the handheld I got the same error. I switched to 4.0.2 and did not get the error message

Yah same issue here
Is this a KNOWN BUG that you cant deploy JDE 4.2.1 to a 4.1 device environment

Is this for real ???

can you pass some option in to JDE 4.2.1 to compile for a 4.1 target or some other bb black magic

Hi guys,,
I did not create my java jar/jad/cod files with jde, I created with Eclipse/EclipseME/J2ME Polish tool & I used rapc to convert jar/jad to cod file.

I also use java uploader to upload it into my blackberry (7130g). Whenever I run the application from my blackberry, it crashes with an error saying "Error starting mobileapp: Error 'mobileapp' OutOfMemoryError".

Pls, how can I overcome this error.

I have restarted the blacberry and I have not installed any application since I gought it, which I guess there should be enough space/memory for it to load.

Thanks.

In my experience, for the problem of 'OutOfMemoryError', what
'Will Berger' have told is the solution.

Try changing the version. It may suppress the error, as if in the case of me and Will Berger.
