One of the users I support has a Blackberry 8800 and after a long battle getting Messenger working (v1.0.94 compatability problems with Voda UK firmware, so used the messenger v4 from original Voda UK OS to fix it) the program works ok... however when the user saves a photo from a conversation they can't find it by browsing to it in their media folders.

I've looked through the Messenger options, but I don't seem to find a way of specifying where you want images saved.

Is this possible, and does anyone know where the images get saved to?

For info, the Blackberry has no media card, it's just using internal memory.

Have you looked under the picture viewer application?

Yes, apparently there are none of the saved photos in there.

This Blackberry is a new 8800, in replacement for another 8800, and I manually copied across all the data from the old to the new, so maybe I didn't create a photo directory that needs to be created?

What is the directory path that should be in existance, or where your photos automatically get saved to?
