Default Local European SIM question

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, using my Cingular 8700c (4 band) BB in Germany is possible just by roaming I understand, however, if I were to unlock it and use a local T-Mobile SIM, how do I go about that? Do I need to call T-mobile and start "another" rate plan for that SIM? Will it have a seperate local number? (I'm assuming so, but had to ask)

Anything else about doing this I need to know?

I'm not a T-Mo user but I suspect you'd have to set up another account once in Germany. I doubt they'd let you create a German account from here in the States.

A pre-paid SIM is a solution a lot of people recommend when travelling internationally. The deal killer for me is a local SIM wil always have a local phone number. I need to be able to be reached with no fuss on my regular number.
