My situation is as follows:
The phone will be automatically added +1 in front when making call from any number in phonebook which is stored in phonebook without country code (+country code) . This doesn't happen when dial number directly from keypad.
Please help me to disable this function because most of my phonebook number stored without country code.
Thank you very much |
You SHOULD have the country code set on your device. I do, and I also have the country code entered in my address book entries (+1 in both cases), and it does NOT add an extra +1 when I dial from the phonebook. What you may need to adjust is your National Number Length.
Go into your
Phone app, then
Click the wheel or menu button and select
Options, then
Smart Dialing.
In the US, the
Country Code should be set to
+1. Hit the
[Alt] key (bottom key in the left column) to bring up the list of Country Codes available, and select
+1. Also, the
National Number Length should be set to
10.
In my area code (646) you must dial the area code even when calling another (646) number, so my Area Code is blank, but if you can dial only 7 digits within your area code, you should enter your Area Code there.
There are other Smart Dialing settings there that may be causing the problem. Just blank the settings there.
