Please Login to Remove!

Somehow I lost my web browser on my Sprint 8703e. It says I don't have the service book. How do I get it back?

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Have you taken the battery out of the BB and.let it reboot? The browser could reappear. Also, try going to Options, Advanced, Service Books, click to see if there is an undelete option. If one has been deleted, you can sometimes restore it this way.

If not, go to your Sprint BIS website, and to the support for your BB where you setup your BB email account and you'll find a link to resend the service books.

Resend your service books. Go to your Host routing table, click on the top one and select register. This should resend the service books to your BB.

Where do I find the Host Routing Table? I saw this in a FAQ somewhere but I don't see it in Advanced Options or anywhere else.

It's possible that Sprint might not use a Host Routing table actually (sorry just noticed you said Sprint). If it's on your BB it would be under Options > Advanced Options.

Got it! For some reason I didn't see it before but Host Routing Table was under Adv Options. Got everything resent and I'm back in business. Thanks for the help.

Lost my Browser after updating firmware levels on my 8700C. As was noted above, a reboot made it re-appear.

I'm on a BES and I lost my browser but the Host Routing Table trick did not work for me. I'm still new to the BB world so i'm not sure but I wasn't given any online account so that i can go and resend any service books. however what i did do was use the desktop manager. In the application loader, I had just selected something simple like add a new font and clicked advanced. In the advanced options you can select to back up all the data, then remove all applications and software and then reload all applications and then restore the data back. That was a bit of a pain but it now restored my browser.

BES service books aren't resent via HRT or the BIS site. Actually, I'm not entirely certain how you get them resent without assistnace from your BES admin. IIRC, a USB sync should do the trick...
