Our company is using MS Exchange Server 2000 and principally Outlook 2002 clients. We are also running BlackBerry Enverprise Server 4.1, and I have two senior executives using BlackBerry 8700C devices. One came to me with an interesting question the other day, and I was hoping someone here might know the answer.

In running an Outlook archive, he noted that nothing in his mailbox folders was being moved to his archive folders, despite the fact that the Received/Sent dates in the folders were well before the "Archive items older than:" date he specified. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the "Modified Dates" in these folders were later than this date (Outlook archives based on this Modified Date).

Since many of these "Modified Dates" appeared in groups, I suspect that the BlackBerry reconciliation process is updating this date. Is this true? If so, can anyone explain how this works? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
