Hi Everyone,

Curious, I just received an email on my 8800 that displays in my inbox with Red text, like so:

01:00 Sender name Subject line

What does this mean, and can I send an email that does this?

Red text is generally a "level 1" message. You can set this up in your BIS settings. Also in messages >Options you can set up pin's to display as "level 1" and then in profiles they can have a different notification.

PIN messages are messages that are sent using your PIN number which is unique to each Blackberry.

This can be found under Options -> Status so if anyone else has a Blackberry you can use this number to communicate with them. You also use this number for Blackberry messenger.

I started getting red email messages today. Never had them before (over 2 years with a BB). Is the RIM server mixing things up?

I received one this morning as well. There was no message, only a red time and sender header. I know it wasn't a PIN message, because I had the full email in my inbox on my PC. That was the only one I received like that. Everything has been copasetic since.

I've had this happen occasionally. For some reason the message comes as level 1. I've never figured out why. Just a fluke.
