Default Red text?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everyone,

Curious, I just received an email on my 8800 that displays in my inbox with Red text, like so:

01:00 Sender name Subject line

What does this mean, and can I send an email that does this?

Red text is generally a "level 1" message. You can set this up in your BIS settings. Also in messages >Options you can set up pin's to display as "level 1" and then in profiles they can have a different notification.

PIN messages are messages that are sent using your PIN number which is unique to each Blackberry.

This can be found under Options -> Status so if anyone else has a Blackberry you can use this number to communicate with them. You also use this number for Blackberry messenger.

Cool. Had no idea that text color can be changed. Good to know. =)

I started getting red email messages today. Never had them before (over 2 years with a BB). Is the RIM server mixing things up?

I received one this morning as well. There was no message, only a red time and sender header. I know it wasn't a PIN message, because I had the full email in my inbox on my PC. That was the only one I received like that. Everything has been copasetic since.

I've had this happen occasionally. For some reason the message comes as level 1. I've never figured out why. Just a fluke.
