I have noticed that once you use the BB8800/8100 for a few months, the color of the trackball tends to become a little dull when the light comes out of it, this is probably due to the sweat, dirt getting deposited on the ball from the fingers, is there an easy way to clean it?

Try rubbing alcohol.

Or denatured alcohol if you can find it.

Get the cool little app that changes your trackball color. It will help hide a dirty trackball tremendously. =)

this is the 8800 forum and from that thread people are having no luck with that program on the 8800s. although it sounds goo if it were free and SF wasnt trying so hard to sell it...

Thanks for the info, but I don't really like to pay for anything that's not productive...I woudn't pay to get different colors coming out of the trackball.

RIM has the functionality built in for the Pearl by the way.

I like the alcohol method....hopefully the ball will stay put
