So i found this phone while hiking on vacation in another state and was woundering....

-Is there some sort of lock that can be activated if the owner reports it lost/stolen?

-If there is can it be unlocked somehow? if so how?

I have a usb cable from a garmin gps that fits and charges the phone, can i use this cable to unlock it if it is possible?

This is a sprint phone, there is no SIM card...

I would like to sell the phone after making sure i am not gonig to get in trouble...

How about you make a valid attempt to return it to the owner? I sincerely doubt *anyone* here is going to help you with what you're asking.

Non-SIM phones are pretty much useless since the ESN is registered to the carrier and if marked lost or stolen will probably be unusable.

Here's a plan. Take the phone to your nearest Sprint store and tell them you found it.

Should probably return that to Sprint... I see bad karma all over that. Might be hard to find a buyer for a dead phone....

And yes if the phone is reported stolen\lost it's flagged and can't be reactivated on another line of service. So it is a paper weight right now...
