I was wondering if there is a way to transfer pictures from my desktop computer to my blackberry through the Blackberry Desktop Software? I do not have wireless Data as I am retired and don't need my Blackberry to get my emails and use my 8700r as a PDA and Phone. I was hoping to transfer a photo to my 8700r Blackberry so that I could use it as my home screen.

The easy option is to add the BB data plan for a day (cost you about a buck) transfer the stuff you want via email, then cancell the data plan... There is another option but you pretty much need a degree in computer science to do it...

well its quite possible to do now if you are comfortable with upgrading your 8700 to 4.2 operating system. if you do that. see other threads. then you can install the newest desktop manager, 4.2 sp1 i believe and youll see a media icon you can use to transfer to and from your bb. if you follow the instructions in the 4.2 finally out for 8700 thread you should have no issues. just back up first. i have a rogers 8700r and the upgrade went smooth. pm or email me if you have questions.

Both the 4.2 OS and 4.2 Desktop Manager are available.
