Default Blackberry 8800 Crash

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everybody,

I have a problem with my Blackberry 8800.
Sometimes when I press several key numbers, the sound of the key stays on and the only way to stop it is removing the battery. It still makes the sound when you turn the phone off from the top left button. It is like the phone freezes with an annoying sound.
Any clue?
Thank you!

Sounds like a bug. Which OS version are you running on your devices? Maybe an update to the new Rogers release will fix your issue.

Same problem here, except the issue is limited to the # 1 key for me.

The OS version I'm using in my BB8800 is V4.2.1.72 (Platform 2.3.0.54).
Now it's been a couple of days since I don't have this problem. Maybe it won't do it any more... who knows...

Check the sticky at the top of this forum for the latest OS for the 8800. It's released by Rogers but the OS will work the same on any 8800. Probably will fix your problem.

Hi Felix;
I went to the BB link on Blackberry.com and it no longer shows the Cingular link. I used the latest AT&T 8800 load and it now shows the OS version on the Status window ending in .79!! ??

I have Rogers .138 isntalled and Opera won't work so I downloaded TMO .111 but DM does't recognize it and won't install probably because it is "older" version. How to make DM istall it? Thanks!

Hmeister....
Ok,
I solved this one... (Ack) RTFM...
Funny thing when you read and review the manual!
(don't you hate that when it happens!)

Quote:
Calendar shortcuts

For shortcuts to work in Day view, in the calendar options, set the
Enable Quick Entry field to No.

To schedule an appointment, press C.

To change to Agenda view, press A.
To change to Day view, press D.
To change to Week view, press W.
To change to Month view, press M.
To move to the next day, week, or month, press the Space key.
To move to the previous day, week, or month, press the Shift key and the Space key.
To move to the current date, press T.
To move to a specific date, press G.

Line two is the clincher! For Shortcuts to work in Day view, in the calendar options, set the Enable Quick Entry field to NO

I like it when a plan comes together.....
