Default Unable to connect with Internet Browser

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

A friend of mine has an unusual problem, he's currently away on business (in the UK) but today he's started getting the error "Unable to connect using current security settings" when attempting to use his Internet browser.

Everything else works fine. And we've tried deleting the service book for the browser, but when we resent it there was no difference. It's all just made the more difficult by the fact I can't actually physically get my hands on the Blackberry since he's down south for a couple of weeks.

Anyone got any ideas what we can do to solve this?

Oh and he's using a 8700 on BIS.

Try pulling the battery for about 30 seconds and letting the BB reboot. Also resent the service books from BIS.

Is he able to send and receive email?

Yeah, we've done a hard reset. And we've had all the service books resent from the BIS.

Thing is EVERYTHING else works OK. From making calls, to sending and receiving emails, even the WAP browser works fine. It's just the Internet Browser.

Go into the Internet Browser and go to options. Next go to Browser Configuration, and change the type of browser you are using (first option). Save the results and see if that helps. Change it to Internet Browser.

My company disables the Blackberry Browser and I can not access any sites with that browser (even intranet). Your friend may of inadvertently change this setting as well.
