Default Enable PPT on you 8700g with OS 4.2

Please Login to Remove!

Since I am with tmo and they don't have PPT, all I got is an extra icon, it might be useful for an unlock 8700G running on cingular.

Installation path

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-v4.2.1.85_P2.3.0.67

Rename your PLATFORM.ALX file to OLDPLATFORM.ALX first incase you want to revert back.

Attached Files
File Type: zip Platform.zip (2.2 KB, 12 views)

I saw this on mine and was curious what it is exactly? I started to run it then backed out as soon as it said that charges would be incurred when I use it...lol

That really depends on the OS load but it's pretty irrelevant if your carrier/network doesn't support it.

i did the optus 4.2 upgrade but when i go into the loader files, i do not see anything for push to talk. i have the option for push to talk but when i try to launch it, it just says please wait for it to initialize. nothing happens after. how can i fix this? can you send me "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-v4.2.1.85_P2.3.0.67"? will that work if i just load the app?

Do you have a 8700G and using Tmobile?

You are on cingular and using an unlock 8700G?
You have PTT icon on the phone and it doesn't work?

Ditto, and I am using a 8700C in China. I can't work out PTT but the voicenotes do work.
