Hello Guys

I am new here and new to the world of BlackBerry, I jumped from Palm 650.
I am using 8703e on Sprint Network, I am running Vista Ultimate x64 edition.
The Problem I am having is that everytime I sync with my desktop the 8703e time gets reset to some strange time. Can someone please help me out with this problem.

Are you using Desktop Manager 4.2?

I remember reading someplace that there could be a problem using a 64-bit PC. Might try searching and see what you find.

Sorry. This wont be a helpful response. Most applications are not compatible with Vista it seems. Microsoft make a lot of changes with Vista. So now every software vendor has to go re-write their apps to work with Vista. Unless a program specifically says Vista compatible it will probably have at lest some problems. So you may just have to wait until an upgrade that is Vista compatible ships

Can you provide some details on "gets reset to some strange time". Is it the format of the time that is strange, the time zone, just a different time, etc? If it is just switching to another time that is consistency X number of hours off, it may be setting it to UTP or GMT instead of your local time. You might check to see if the time zone on your phone, PC, and possibly BES are set to the same zone.

I am having the same problem since I switched to Vista. Everytime I sync, the time zone on my BB gets reset to some place called Eritrow?

I got it, I solved this problem, in the Connection Manager double click on Synchronize and you will get a new window make sure thate the Update device's date and time is unchecked. Look at the pic.

I also had that problem with my BB. But also when ever my phone is done syncing with outlook and i close the desktop manager and unplug my blackberry i get the windows blue screen and the computer restarts. any thoughts??

Welcome to Vista I guess? lol. Just like Apple's iPhone, I'll be giving them at least a year to get the BIG bugs fixed, then I'll try it out. I rely too much on the information/applications I have to risk it for some stupid visual changes.
