| Odd..... I have not done a phone upgrade on the line I selected in over 2 years..... Even $349 is to much.... If it were $249 I'd have to kick the idea of getting it around... BUT $349 is a bit much with the 8300 series around the corner... | | Offline

| Shows up as $469.99 with a 2-year for me, and I'm out of contract this month. That's the worst deal I've ever seen, all I can do is laugh at that price. For that much I'm either going to eBay or switching to Cingular and picking up the 8800 for $149 on amazon. $470 is absolutely ridiculous...don't know what they're thinking. | | Offline

| Well, i have two accounts. One shows the upgrade price at $349.99 and the other at $469.99.
Im gonna think about it cause if the 8300 serie comes out, " it might not" have gps. The 8800 is the only gps capable phone at the time and i definitelly might need that as well as going to courts with a camera less device. $349.99 aint THAT bad. Just my 2 cents.

| I'm not interested in the 8800 (if the 8320 comes out), but went into My-T-Mobile to see the upgrade price and it was $469 like some others. I'm guessing the 8320 will have a ridiculous upgrade amount, too? Good thing I love my 8700.

| well i wonder if they put it up that high to make the 8300 look like a better buy at the 300-400 range?
and if the 83xx has those extra features,
then they will be killing their 8800 sales.

There is an error with your MyTmobile account and I bet you could get it for $349 if you called Tmobile. $349 is the same price paid for the 8700g when it first came out and would be an appropriate price if we didn't know about the 8320.

| I *think* the T-Mo version 8800 is geared toward corporate and the 8300 will be geared toward consumers... I only say this because the 8300 is rumored to have a camera (a no no to most businesses) and wifi.... | | Offline

I called and one of my five lines was qualified for the upgrade at full discount. It was a mix up on their end as i had checked the line I knew was eligible.... They quoted me the $349 and said it was their mistake.... What to do... I was all set in holding out for the 83xx but the new BB bug is hitting me hard
By the time the 8300 is out I will have another line eligible for full upgrade,,,,, | | Offline

If the 83xx comes with a camera then sure its out of the question but without a camera it seems like it wouldn't be all that different than the 8800? Sorry to hit on something your sick of hearing, I know that but the pricing seems strange, thats all.
anyways seems like people are getting them for 349 now anyways.

| Upgrade meaning you are already with Tmo? I'm currently looking to switch to Tmo, so I assume that for a new customer, would it be the $350 or the $469? | | Offline

| With T-Mo you get lower upgrade prices after 11 months of service without an upgrade and a even better upgrade price at the 22 month mark without an upgrade.... The line in question is my sons line (a razr) that had not been upgraded in 2 1/2 years so i new it was eligable for the full discounted upgrade price....
Did any of that make sense???? lol

| Yeah, actually I just called Tmo, and if I port my number over for a 2 yr contract, it would be $349 which is what I paid for the 8800 with cingular when it came out, but I wasn't TOO crazy about it due to the kb feedback and creaky sides, but overall, its a very good BB. I just hate to get the 8800 and then have the 83xx come out a month or two later. It just sucks that there's no word on even IF the 83xx will be out for Tmo... what to do what to do. Want to get rid of the Treo already. I see that Tmo has it on their regular page now, funny how there's no mention of GPS, maybe Tmo DID omit it.

I know that was the case when Cingular got the 8700.... All the issues were fixed when T-Mo released their 8700... | | Offline
