I charge mine every night. I tend to use between 60-70% of a full charge everyday. I am on BlackBerry Messenger all day, with voice and e-mail in between. Its funny that I found this thread because my bb battery died on the way home tonight.

When I'm here in the States with medium to heavy usage I can usually get away with every other day with occasional plugins at the office but when I'm overseas in Asia, I find that the batteries goes a lot faster.

The only time my battery has ever beeped it's "I'm Almost Dead" warning at me was when I spent the entire daying reading a book on it (which meant I had to have the backlight on the entire time as well).

I charge every night because the user manual recommended it, and because if I don't, then I forget and lose charge. During weekdays I have moderate-to-heavy txt usage and light-to-moderate phone usage.

I have Sprint (CDMA) so I basically have to charge every night. You GSM users are lucky because your battery life can last several days. Not a big deal to charge every night, but it would be nice to go 5 or so days between charges (with light usage, of course). CDMA just uses more power in standby, no way around that. :(

I have to charge every two days. It'll stretch to three sometimes if I don't use it so hard.

I am on TMo/8700g w/extended battery. Before purchasing the ext battery, I would find myself needing to charge daily. With ext, and heavy use (web/email/todoMatrix-ideaMatrix use), I can get away with charging every 3 days or so. I would invest in an ext battery if you need more power. Lowest I got in a day was 85%...

Usually every night. I can make it through two days with moderate usage but I dont want to end up running short at the end of the second day.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/120)

Seems very frequent. I use mine a lot and generally charge it every 2nd night

Default battery dies

I may be wrong but I think leaving your browser on drains the battery faster. If you "close" the browser the battery may last longer.

My 6280 would last almost two weeks, my 8700 lasts about three days with 4.1 on it, we'll see how it is with 4.2.1, as I just upgraded.

The browser is always open, but you're right; leaving some items open can drastically rain battery. The most noticable is SVG graphics. These are usually used in games (metorcrusher and circlepopper are 2 I know of which use SVG), but some web developers (such as myself) use it to make nicer pages specifically for BlackBerry.
It's always a good practice to close what you can to save a little juice.

Mondays usually kill my battery in 10 hours or so. Rest of the week it's just charging every night to keep it full. Looking into getting and ext. battery this week though. Running outta battery mid-work-day is hella annoying.

Is this normal? With my old phone, a SLVR, I was able to charge it every other night, and sometimes, every three nights.
I charge my BB every night regardless if I have used it during the day time or not.
