Exclamation Blackberry as ISP works fine..SSL VPN times out

Please Login to Remove!

I am a support person from a big insurance company. We have users who tether their Blackberry to their pcs and use it as an ISP. They connect to the internet, no problem. However when they connect to our ssl vpn, they can connect, but it times out almost immediately. We just moved out these new HP laptops. It did work fine on the IBM laptops. any ideas?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7130e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I use the connection type you mentioned to connect my 7130E TO the bank's VPN where I work when I am moble. I'm using the Verizon tethered connection and have not had any issues connecting my Dell c610 to our network. That said, can you verify that the laptop OS is of identical configuration (the same base image)? Are the OS firewall settings the same or is a 3rd party firewall package-like Symantec CSC configured identical? Can you verify VPN connectivity is functional under other connectivity types-LAN cable & wireless Wifi, as well? There are a lot of variables- the more info you can provide, the better for trouble shooting.
