Default 8800 missing enterprise activation icon?

Please Login to Remove!

Guy setup a pop account not knowing we use BES, anyway he gave me all the icons and subfolders but enterprise activation is no where to be found!
If I could find the security feature I would have him wipe it , but tht too is not findable ? Anyone know they could be?

thanks in advance

You can usually find Enterprise Activation under Options / Advanced Options.

You need to be on a BES plan, too. If you're only on a BIS plan you'll have no Enterprise Activation option.

These icons are probably hidden on the home ribbon.

WHAT?!! Are you serious? My Pearl has this while I'm on Rogers BIS only. Is this something completely different on the 8800, or provider specific?

I figured this out. Your BES should've been setup 1st before personal pop3/Imap settings are entered. This is by design I think. Saw a technical document on this just 2 days ago so I cannot remember the full details.

However delete your pop account entirely. Even on the BIS server. Heck remove your PIN from providers BIS setup site.

pull out battery. put back in. Check with provider to resend service books.
then setup your BES first before you gmail account. hope this helps. Cheers.

Usually BIS provisioning will hide the EA icon but it's generally available under Options.
