Welcome to the forums,
Are you getting a message on the screen when you're not getting any service? Such as "No Service" or "Searching" or "Searching for Network" or "invalid sim card" etc.? We need more info.

thanks.

I use my valid SIM card to put into the BB.

If I do not put in the SIM card and power up the BB, the screen says "insert sim card."

If I put it in the sim card and turn on the wireless, then it try to search for network and the result, "no service."

I am new to BB, btw.

Either there is no TMobile signal in your area or the BB is defective.

Its a valid SIM card that I use on my samung t609 regularly.

I guess the BB is screwed.

Am I the first to see this error for BB?

Are you the first to have a broken BlackBerry? No.

If you are sure it is a valid SIM for T-Mobile and you've reloaded the firmware, then it's most likely broken.

Yes, I would say the BB has a problem. "No Service" means that the BB is not receiving ANY signal at all.

I have done quite a few searches and reading on this board and "wiped" and then reloaded the the firmware but still gettin the same result.
