I bought an unlocked 8800 on Ebay yesterday and I had some questions before it comes. First, I put my T-Mobile Sim card in and it starts working? Do my contacts show up or do i have to synch it?

What about adding My favorites?

I used to carry insurance on my 8700 so I should drop it now, right? I can't imagine they would cover a phone from a different carrier, correct?

Anything else I should understand that I'm missing?

You will need to sync the contacts onto the 8800

My favs should sho up once the device is active on T-Mo's network..

Insurance will not cover a device from another carrier...

nremondelli, ^^^ ditto what he said, when you get the SIM card in the 8800, you might go to Address Book > SIM Phone Book > Copy All to Address Book.

You have to switch to a My Fav's plan..... I tried it a while back and hated it! It takes away your T-Mo to T-Mo minutes.... I used far more minutes on the plan so I canned it...
