Exchanging phone with T-Mobile

T-Mobile is going to exchange my 7100t for another phone. They state in the e-mail:

"You will receive a phone of equal or greater value, but not necessarily the same phone model. If you have purchased accessories for your phone, they may not be compatible with your replacement phone. If this is the case, you may want to consider our 'Repair and Return' service."

Has anyone exchanged their phone under warranty like this and received a different model phone? I'd consider the Repair and Return but I can't be without my BB......

I would have to imagine that the "different phone" is more likely if the phone that you currently have is discontinued or no longer stocked. Since they are still selling the 7100t, you should receive the same back.

If you experienced a problem with your 7100t and went through T-Mobile's Customer Service AND they determined that this was a handset problem, they should have shipped you the exact same model. Can you provide any more detail as to what happened with your phone and why they are offering you something different?

I dropped mine, and they replaced it with a brand new one very quickly. The entire process was smooth and easy. I was impressed.

I have gotten 10 replacement 7100's thru TMO in the past 3 mos. Same problem over and over, no solution in sight.... gotta love that..
