The easiest way to do what you probably want to do is to go to (Settings -->) Options --> Security Options --> General Settings. Hit the Menu button and select Wipe Handheld. You will be given a warning - hit Continue, then you'll be asked to enter the word blackberry. Type blackberry and hit [Enter].

All DATA will now be erased and all settings put back to their defaults. HOWEVER, this will NOT restore it to it's "Factory" condition. If you've installed any applications, they will NOT be erased - just any settings or data is erased.

If you REALLY want to restore the device to it's Factory condition, you'll then need to delete any applications you installed. You could also uninstall EVERYTHING using either Application Loader (from Desktop Manager) or doing a full wipe using JL_Cmder and then reload the firmware from your provider using Application Loader.
