BeamBerry and Repligo do well for viewing PDFs.

I just got a new 8703a from Verizon. I purchased an "ebook" which I emailed to myself. I then did an open on the attachment-it is in a PDF format. If I look at the book in page view it looks normal when i try to view text the title, author and "Chapter 1" are readable but the actual text is symbols. The documentation for the 8703 says PDF is a supported file. Any ideas?
