Exclamation blank screen on 7280

Please Login to Remove!

I had a Cincinnati Bell 7280 that i dropped and cracked the screen. It put a big black spot on the screen. I bought a new unlocked Cingular 7280 on Ebay and put the old SIM card and battery into the new unit. It worked good, until i tried to restore my settings from my old phone.
After loading all of the old settings, it worked for a short time... i tried to call voicemail, and it worked, but then the keyboard locked up and it eventually rebooted. When it came back up, I tried to navigate around but the system froze again. This time I tried just holding down the power key for a few moments.
Suddenly, the entire screen turned upside down and then it went blank. When I connect it to my Win xp system, it sees the BB and can even talk to it. I even tried reloading the settings again.
I also used the reset hole inside the back several times, no luck. I removed the battery and SIM card and put them back in. Nothing. It's almost like its running but I can't see anything... just a guess.
Anyone seen this before?

What really sucks is I leave for a 5 day trip in the early AM. I may try putting the SIM back into my old phone for the trip... I can at least look around the "black-eye" on my old screen.

Help please.

Thanks

Unhappy

Okay people... does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.
Extra note: When I reset the BB, the red led lights up on the top, but nothing at all appears on the screen, not even an hour glass.

I erased and reloaded the software per cause #3 at:

Still no screen, perhaps the screen is dead? Does BB usually have a lot of screen issues?
