I was wondering which 7100 series blackberry is the best. Im looking for great browser capability. The browser on my 62XX is horrible, I cant go anywhere on the web. My job gave me this and I want to upgrade. I cant decide which one to buy, 7100t, 7100r, 7100g, 7100x. I have t-mobile and know that the 7100t is for t-mobile but I was thinking about buying an unlocked blackberry if another 7100 is better than the 't'. Help me out. I'm new to the blackberry scene.

I think it all depends on where you are located. Cingular has awful coverage where I live - so I tell people to avoid Cingular. Blanket statements, like all generalizations, are never 100% accurate. The software on all 7100 models is exactly the same. The different is the shell and the keyboard.

For looks, I would probably go with the 7100g with cingular but as they said above, it seriously depends on your coverage and whats best where you will be most.

do they all have the same web browsing capability as well? Because If so I think i'm just going to go with the 7100t

I think the tmobile looks much better, The 7100g looks like something out of the 60s. I have both at my desk.

If anyone here has had better coverage with TMO over Cingular- I'd be really suprised(except Manhattan)- if so, tell me where you live.

We have tried them all and here in CA VZW is superior, followed by ATTW's TDMA network (sadly), then SPCS, then Cingular then TMO.

I was about to launch a thread like this. I have a 7100t and I'm trying to figure out if Cingular's data service/plan is any better. I live in Oregon and the blackberry plan for cingular is $50/month, tmo's blackberry is only $20 extra. Anyone have any experience with the data rates? Ability to use as a modem? Looking for a reason to spend twice as much with Cingular.

Southern New Mexico Near El Paso Texas and Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. Cingular isn't even sold down here. They have a tower or two, but that's it. No ATT either.

Cingular has better coverage, but that's about it. So if T-Mobile has good coverage in your area, I would suggest going with them and saving your money.

I think I'm just going to go with the 7100t. Another person in my office has one and loves it. The only problem is where I live I dont get the best t-mobile service. But at work I get service there fine. So i'm going with the 7100t. Thanks for the useful information.

I had 7110t (T-Mobile) and now have 7100g (Cingular). I swithched because at my home, Cingular is better service. I like the 7100g better. The space between the keys is a major improvement over the 7100t. I think it feels better in your hand as well. I could be wrong, but I think the screen resolution outside is a little better than the 7100t . Both are a joke in the sun, but I think I can see the 7100g a little better (it could be just wishful thinking).

My next task is to hammer out a quick spreadsheet with ALL of the costs. The rollover thing from Cingular makes it a little more interesting.
