It doesn't work. I look under the modules under DM (atfer installing 4.2.174 from Tmo's website of course) and usually you'll see T-Mobile this tmobile that.. but NO tmobile. What i'm REALLY after is the tmo_top_five file for the Myfaves.. (not sure if thats the exact name) but nothing like that appears. And the file is only 9.9mb. It's a 69 mb file. I even tried uninstalling DM and the 8800 software and restarting THEN reinstalling. Same thing. I even loaded it onto my phone and it did not go through the normal "checklist" install process. It did something for 10 minutes then rebooted the phone. Phone still boots with cingular logos and still no top five. I even downloaded the 4.2 os from tmobiles website TWICE> Anyone know why this is happening? Yes I also deleted vendor.xml every time.

You are always going to have the cingular splash screen. This is hard coded into the device. As for the myFaves program from what I understand it is a program that is OTA from Tmobile as long as you have a myFaves sim. No clue if this is correct. Hope this helps alittle

For right now it is impossible to have my faves on a non T-mobile phone. You can have them on your plan because they stay in the system. My faves from your front screen are gone but not from your plan. The only way you can change them is via web, retail store or customer service.
Cingular logo will stay there forever, it doesnt matter you loaded OTA for t-mobile. let me know if you have any Q regarding this
