Default not yet a blackberry user but it's on order

Please Login to Remove!

so I have been "investing" several hours these past few weeks on BB forums just trying to get all my ducks in a row before jumping ship from the treo 700p. as I have looked through here I notice several answers to questions which also generate more so:
1.I am using ACT! 6.0 - I know I can use Handheld connect, but there are several users on our ACT and I don't need all the contacts on there. Is there a way to only get my info off of there?
2. how's the gps work on this thing (btw I am getting the 8703e - sprint)

I am looking forward to this monday or tuesday when it should be here I know that my wife won't like it but I am going to be spending too much time getting to know this thing. Thanks for your help

I too am from the old Palm/Treo days. I have a Sprint 8703e and can't imagine having anything else. Sorry I can't help you with ACT. I use Outlook. What you might want to try is transfer only your contacts from ACT to Outlook and then sync Outlook with the BB. The Blackberry and Outlook seem to be made for each other.

GPS works great on the 8703. You will have to sign up with a gps service. I used to use Mapquest Navigator. I think they have a 90 trial period and then it's $10 per month after that. I don't use it anymore because I have a GPS navigator in my car but it was good when I needed it.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll fall in love with your new Blackberry. Also this Blackberry forum is a wealth of knowledge.
