Default 7100i reception

I had a 7100i about a year ago, and got rid of it, because the service was all over the place. Has this issue been fixed. I miss my BB, but want to keep Nextel service for the DC.

I just had to replace my 7100i because it was pretty beat up and I just spilled something on it so it wasn't working any longer. I lucked into a brand new in box 7100i and I have to say that the reception on this new unit is improved over my old one. The old one's "bars" were frequently all over the place, but this one appears to hold a steadier signal according to the meter/bars. Still the same dead spots, but in general it appears improved. Hope that helps!

Default Use of 7100i (Nextel Service) as a modem

I have 7100i (Nextel Service) that I am trying to use as a modem. At this time I am using a trial version of sharkmodem software. I have done as per user guide from sharkmodem. And the status of sharkmodem on laptop and on blackberry is

On Laptop:
Status: connected
Bytes received: 0
Bytes sent: 1154

On blackberry:
connect to internet via: Direct TCP connect
connect to PC via: USB
Status: Registered

When I open IE:
On laptop shows "Page cannot be displayed" and on Blackberry Sharkmodem icon selection it shows "Radio has no coverage".

Cannot go on Internet. Please help!!!!!
