It does, but it's locked down by Verizon.

The above post is almost right.

8800: GSM, EDGE speeds, and GPS
8830: CDMA (USA), EVDO speeds, GSM (Outside USA), no GPS.

Duhh, I forgot one of the Main Features! Those 2 words on the unit actually mean something!
WORLD EDITION...
Works on GSM out of the US
(Vodafone network)
Thanks John! I'm burnt from getting this new 8830 up and running. Fun post tomorrow!

Wink

I think it's a bit misleading to post that the 8830 has "no GPS" simply because Verizon's network does not support the feature. The 8830s lauched by Bell Mobility have full use of Assisted, Autonomous and Simultaneous GPS.

Yeah, better to post that the 8830 has GPS but it's crippled if you bought it from VZW. Not the phones fault....thank VZW for punishing their customers.

There Famous for crippling
Features on there Devices. Usually there just looking for a way to offer something that should be out of the box, but instead tack on extra fees$$$
to use the feature! That's VZW for ya!
