Importing personal contacts I have Outlook 2003 both at home (on a personal PC) and at work on my office PC. As I am fully enjoying the contacts on my Blackberry, I thought I would export my home contacts, import them into my work pc ( with category=Personal) and let them sync back to the Blackberry. It worked PERFECTLY, and I can even Filter if I want. I noticed however that I am missing perhaps a dozen or so email addresses. These are ones that pop up as I start composing the To field on my home Outllook ( but were never added as Contacts). Is there a way to get a lsiting of what these are. Must be some sort of history file... Many thanks MM |
If they are only popping up when you are composing an Outlook email, then that's the 'history' of Outlook working for you.... I am 99.9999% sure they are nowhere in your Address Book. I have that happen all the time at work - I send emails to all of my BB users, so I can just start typing their name and it will pop up. However, none of them are in my personal address book. |
Exactly my problem....but that history file must exist somewhere..as Outllook uses it every time....must be a way to find it (even if hidden) UPDATE: I may have found a solution. See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...CL100626971033 |
Absolute success. The history file is from the autocomplete feature, which creates a nickname file with a NK2 extentions. There are third party tools to view and manage NK2 files. I found one here : NK2View - View Outlook .NK2 AutoComplete Information which allows me to extract the names and addresses. Yay! |
Nice, good find! I can use this one at work as I have had people ask me about it. |
